Valentine’s Day is quickly approaching this week but everything is not about love in February. There are a variety of artists releasing albums today. The new albums include a UK import, a songwriter transitioning to a solo career, a remerging of a 80’s hit maker and a budding newcomer, all dropping sounds for our enjoyment.
Daley – Days & Nights (Universal/Republic)
The sounds of England ring throughout R&B. Daley is one of the fresh faces that have been working hard to have his angelic voice heard. The man of few words offers his fans an eclectic blend of records that draw an audience that spans throughout the world.
Eric Bellinger – The Rebirth
If Eric Bellinger held back on the amount of songs to add to ‘The Rebirth,’ it is hard to tell. The two disc set include thirty-three records and a variety of guest features including Ty Dolla $ign, Christina Milian, Jon B., Tank, Kid Ink among others. Based on Bellinger landing on Singersroom's ‘Most Popular R&B Singles of the Week’ list for the past several weeks, it seems to be a project that fans are ready to download.
Club Nouveau – Consciousness
The band that dropped "Jealous" and "Why You Treat Me So Bad" has regrouped after a big break. Jay King, Valerie Watson and Samuelle Prater use their experiences to offer advice on all things dealing with love.
John Michael – #NewJackThing Pt.1 (Top Notch Music)
John Michael gives us his new mixtape, New Jack Thing Pt. 1, which features production from Hit-Boy, Best Kept Secret, and Ric & Thadeus. The Top Notch Music recording artist’s mixtape is filled with up-tempo grooves, smooth ballads and entertaining skits.
"The goal of this mixtape is to create a playlist of songs that one can listen to from start to finish," says John Michael.
