August Alsina is definitely rising up from the ashes, and today, an unreleased song has surfaced called "Like A Star."
The bass and digital-heavy record has the young crooner singing about his ascension: "Feeling like a star tonight / baby cause I shine so bright / I don't wanna touch the ground / Cause I don’t wanna lose this high,” he says on the hook.
The record, written two years ago, is only a demo and will not appear on the New Orleans native's upcoming LP.
August’s debut album, Testimony, is due out on April 15.
