2013 was a great year for August Alsina. He had a successful EP with Downtown: Life Under the Gun and he scored a No.1 single with “I Luv This.” Now he’s hunkering down for the release of his full-length Def Jam LP, Testimony, with this cut “Make It Home” being the official first single featuring Jeezy.
On the premiere single, August gives a verbal will to his girl due to the harsh realities of the street life and his upbringing. “If I don’t make it home tonight / Tell my mama that I love her, leave some flowers for my brother,” his instructions say as Jeezy follows with his verse and flow.
Testimony is due out on April 15.
