Not only is Mary J. Blige getting soulful for the holidays with “A Mary Christmas,” Tamar Braxton is ringing in the yuletide with her own soulful holiday offering called “Winter Loversland” on Nov. 11; the set’s first offering being the original tune “She Can Have You.”
This is as real as they come; not everyone feels the Christmas cheer during the holidays. Instead of singing about looking forward to getting to know her man better via mistletoe, Tamar has the blues as she laments about being left for another woman.
“Ain’t nothing like being alone at Christmas / everybody’s got a mayne but me again this year,” she opens on verse one.
