NAACP Award nominated actress and R&B singer Demetria McKinney follows up her collaboration with Musiq Soulchild on "Still Believe In Love" with her official first single "Work With Me." On the airy ballad, Demetria harshly lays her flaws on the line and shows appreciation for the man who accepts her imperfections, insisting, "please work with me."
“There are countless songs that talk about problems we have with our men and how they need to get themselves together or get out," says McKinney. "This song is just the opposite. We as women have imperfections too and it’s okay to admit. So, I recorded a song about it."
Point of views are necessary for music and Demetria's ethereal approach is thought-provokingly enjoyable.
"Work With Me" will appear on her forthcoming EP, 'Officially Yours', slated for release this fall.
Demetria is best known for her role as Janine on Tyler Perry's House of Payne.
