Deborah Cox is counting her blessings after securing rave reviews for her role in the new Broadway production "Jekyll & Hyde," which opened April 18 at the Marquis Theatre and will run for 13 weeks. In the dark and sexy production, Cox plays Lucy, a lady of the night with a yearning for a better life, who captures the attention of both Dr. Henry Jekyll and Mr. Edward Hyde. Prior to the current Broadway run, Cox showed out on a national tour, thrilling audiences luminous vocals and stage presence.
Conceived for the stage by Tony and GRAMMY® Award nominee Frank Wildhorn and Steve Cuden, "Jekyll & Hyde" is based on the acclaimed novella The Strange Case of Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde by Robert Louis Stevenson, about a London doctor who accidentally unleashes an evil alternate personality in his quest to cure his father's mental illness.
It's great to see Cox flourishing, but we can't wait for her next studio album.
