Tamar Braxton has another reason to celebrate. The mom-to-be and reality TV star's debut single "Love & War," has topped the Urban Adult Contemporary radio chart. The powerful ballad and title track will appear on the Braxton Family Values and Tamar & Vince star's upcoming debut album for Streamline/Epic Records, slated for release this summer.
"Love and War is the first record where the music has truly reflected who I am," says Braxton in a statement. "One night in the studio, everything clicked. I found the sound I'd been looking for within myself for years and the vocals just poured out of me."
Penned by Braxton, Makeba Riddick (Beyonce and Rihanna) and LaShawn Daniels ( Whitney Houston , Brandy, Destiny's Child), on "Love & War," she croons about the hardships in a relationship, but letting love lead the way out.
"I'd experienced love, but I never experienced passion until I met my husband," Braxton adds. "It's a true reflection of our relationship. I think a lot of people can identify with it."
