The 2013 Academy Awards held at the Dolby Theatre on Sunday (February 24) in Hollywood were filled with spectacular and stunning actors and actresses. However, Jennifer Hudson seemed to grab our attention because of her evolution and amazing performance.
Hudson has been such a role model for those that are trying to break into the industry and be a respectable woman of color. She has had an amazing career as an actress and singer. She sung "And I Am Telling You I’m Not Going" from her film Dreamgirls with authority and a God given voice that gives you chills during a tribute to musicals. The Grammy Award winner performed at the Oscars like a veteran and we can only watch in awe.
Mrs. Hudson looked absolutely beautiful on the red carpet wearing a Roberto Cavalli Couture dress, Giuseppe Zanotti shoes, a Jimmy Choo clutch, and Sutra jewelry. I couldn’t help but think that there was something Whitney Houstonish (pre Bobby Brown) about how she sings and is received.
How do you think she represented for R&B?
