Award winning Gospel recording artist and “Sunday Best (BET)” judge Yolanda Adams will be participating in festivities leading up to President Barack Obama’s inauguration.
Announced among a line up that includes Star Jones and Angela Bassett, Adams will appear during the Service Summit, which features addresses from inaugural committee co-chairs promoting the National Day of Service.
With honorary chair Chelsea Clinton, Service Summit is like a good works fair on the National Mall, giving community service organizations a chance to demonstrate their projects and register volunteers for the National Day of Service.
As previously reported, Beyonce is also due to take part in festivities this year.
Inaugural week kicks off for the President with a small ceremony. Major public festivities kick off Sunday, Jan. 20 — a date mandated by the Constitution.
