Cleveland-native Antoine Dunn’s music fuses classic and modern R&B. Hailing from a musical family rooted in gospel music, his aunt is professional gospel singer Veronica Dunn, and his brother is professional opera singer Adrian Dunn. He toured with Musiq Soulchild and Avant in the U.S and abroad and contributed to 2007 American Idol finalist Lakisha Jones’ album before signing with Elite Music Group, Inc.
His forthcoming album Truth of the Matter is due out this year, although a date is not yet determined. The first single “Can’t Forget” was accompanied with a music video that premiered on Singersroom and made its debut on the popular BET countdown show, 106 & Park.
The second single, “Miss My Love,” relishes in classic instrumentation, as Dunn croons to a loved one about how much they will miss each other’s love.
“The song, ‘Miss My Love,’ is about being in a position where you have to choose between love with a very special young lady and your career,” said Dunn. “In the song, your career is like a train ride, where you have to make the decision to either hop on the train that goes to the next station, or stay with her, and be willing to deal with the possibility of having regrets.”
“Miss My Love” is now available on iTunes and Amazon.
