Roc Nation’s darling, Rita Ora, tore down NYC’s SOBs Wednesday (April 25) in her first showcase as an artist. Her bubbly personality and genuine sincerity made for great entertainment between songs but her voice stood out most as she performed tracks from her upcoming debut album.
The energy was electrifying through “Shine Your Light”, “Hot Right Now” and “R.I.P.”, but it was turned up to maximum when Rita pulled on a vintage Coogi sweater in honor of New York’s pride and joy, The Notorious B.I.G., and partied to her current single “How We Do” – which contains a sample of the rapper’s hit “Party and Bullshit”.
“I love people that don’t give a f*ck,” said the 21-year-old between songs.
Rita was thrilled to have her moment and couldn’t let it end without her harmonizing a goodbye song on her way offstage, echoing the sentiments of her adoring audience.
