Jesse Boykins III, the leader of the Romantic Movement, found a way to incorporate tribal stomps and handclaps into a smooth concoction of soul on “The Perfect Blue.” The record, produced by eighteen year old German, Gora Sou, was created when the pair worked at the Red Bull Music Academy. The collaboration is the first taste of JBIII’s upcoming album entitled ‘Zulu Guru.’
Abstract in his songwriting approach the singer penned, “the pressure standing to decay/I need your warmth/moments blend like seasons do/I need the times when I with you/the days are lost/breathing starts to slow me down.”
“This song is the perfect explanation for what it means to be a human being in love with danger and risk-taking in relationships,” stated Boykins.
