Ronnie DeVoe, Michael Bivins, Ricky Bell, Ralph Tresvant, Johnny Gill and Bobby Brown have no plans on retiring as the original six members of New Edition kicks off the celebration of their 30th Anniversary with a national trek.
The thirteen stop U.S. tour starts February 10, 2012 in Louisville, Kentucky and ends May 20, 2012 in Baltimore, Maryland. The group will hit the stages to perform classic records like “Candy Girl,” “Can You Stand The Rain” and “Mr. Telephone Man.”
“2012 is going to be an incredible year for us,” Ronnie DeVoe previously told Billboard. “Of course, we want to get to the 40th and 50th [anniversaries], too, but we just feel like our road to the 30th is going to be special…It’s just gonna be an incredible ride.”
In addition to the tour, the all male veteran band from Boston plans on launching a new album entitled ‘Candy Girl’ in 2013.
