Kem Joins Cast of ‘Sparkle’ as Master of Ceremonies

In soul/R&B singer Kem’s debut acting role, he will join an all-star cast including, Jordin Sparks, Whitney Houston, Derek Luke, Mike Epps, Tika Sumpter and Cee-Lo Green for the remake of “Sparkle.”

“I’ve always had the idea that I’d like to try my hand at acting one day, and I’m very thankful to have the chance to do that with a classic film such as SPARKLE,” said KEM.

The Grammy nominated singer will play the role of a club owner and Master of Ceremonies, ‘Buddy.’ He’s currently filming the movie in his hometown of Detroit, Michigan.

Earlier this year, KEM was nominated for two Grammy Awards including, Best R&B Male Performance and Best R&B Song from his latest album ‘Intimacy: Album: III.’
