Christina Aguilera’s judging/coaching position on “The Voice” is secure. Dismissing reports that she will be fired after the completion of next season’s singing competition, NBC’s Executive Vice President of Alternative Programming, Paul Telegdy, says “there is absolutely no truth to the rumor.”
Rumors about Aguilera’s proposed firing erupted after X17 Online reported that producers were unhappy working with her and planned to replace her in season 3.
“She doesn’t spend time with her contestants like she’s supposed to,” a source told the outlet. “She doesn’t participate. She spends most of her time on the set with her boyfriend.”
Aguilera along with original coaches, Adam Levine, Cee-Lo Green and Blake Shelton, have signed up to return to season 2 which will premiere on Sunday, February 5 after the Super Bowl.
