THE REVIEW: BMI Celebrates Accomplishments of Producer Polow Da Don

The posh atmosphere of Atlanta’s W Hotel set the stage for a night of celebration and praise for famed music producer Polow Da Don. The intimate invitation-only mixer, hosted by Broadcast Music, Inc. (BMI) and Keri Hilson, highlighted the honoree’s music as well as humanitarian accomplishments throughout his career.

Atlanta native, Polow was named top R&B/Hip Hop Producer for 2010 by Billboard magazine. In addition to being honored at the 2010 BMI Urban Awards as Urban Producer of the Year, The visionary was also responsible for the chart-topping success of Robin Thicke’s “Sex Therapy” and Usher’s “Hot Tottie.”

However, it is the producer’s philanthropy that he is most passionate about. Polow spearheaded the annual Thanksgiving Carnival and Turkey Drive for the Southwest Atlanta community. His involvement in Foundation F.O.C.U.S. aims to offer workshops and activities to at-risks youths from impoverished areas. He’s done it all!

The entire city came together to applaud his altruism, including “Til the End of Time” sensation, Timothy Bloom, V. Bozeman, and Lloyd. They all took to the stage immediately following the mixer as Hilson hosted Symmetry Live in conjunction with Polow’s Zone 4, Inc.
