Kelly Price to Release Sixth Studio Album May 3rd

R&B songstress Kelly Price will release her sixth studio album, ‘Kelly,’ on May 3, 2011. Originally scheduled for March 29th, the set boast the singles “Tired” and “Not My Daddy” featuring Mint Condition’s Stokley Williams. “Not My Daddy” is edging for a top 10 spot at radio plus the track debuted at #20 last week on iTunes.

“This song literally wrote itself, which happens to me every once in a while,” Kelly Price says of the track. “The melody came to me first and then I envisioned a live band to truly impact my audience and that’s when I called up Stokley. We made this song to encourage lovers to get back to being lovers. Stop parenting one another and just love each other.”

The new album, KELLY, will feature production by Warryn Campbell, Shep Crawford, Jazz Nixon and Lawrence Waddell.

In addition to the forthcoming album, Kelly Price will perform at this year’s Essence Music Festival, which takes place this July 1-3 in New Orleans.
