We have watched Bobby Brown with our fingers crossed hoping that he will continue on the beaten path. Now he seems to have jumped on track and is going full steam ahead touring with longtime group members Head of State (Johnny Gill and Ralph Tresvant). Get out the way! Bobby Brown is back in action. His album “The Masterpiece” is set for release in May via Brownhouse Entertainment/Interscope.
Realizing a Lifestyle Change Must be Made… Like six and half years ago, it all came crashing down. I didn’t want to be the person I was becoming at the time. I got off heroin and cocaine. My children were a major influence to my change. They are everything to me. I have a granddaughter, she calls me ‘Pop Pop.’ I am living the life God intended for me. Twenty years ago I would have never thought I would be where I am today.”
A Second Chance to Relive the Past… “I would do so many things different, but I still don’t regret the things in my life because they have made me the man I am today.”
Theme for Upcoming Album… “If anybody can Google the last ten years of my life that will explain what the ‘Masterpiece’ is about. I have been through trials and tribulations. It was all I lived and loved and I am here today.”
Evolution From Album One to Now… “I think I’m smarter and better at my craft, I work at it. I wish for the best and practice as much as possible to be a winner. I make music for people to enjoy.”
Challenges Faced Working on the New Album… “My son always wants to play. He’s my inspiration. He will be on this album for sure.”
Most Memorable Career Moment… “Has it happened yet?”
