R&B singer Aon is gearing up for the release of his new album âStadium,â which he says is influenced by the many styles of music he has been exposed to while touring around the world. Previously titled Akonic, âStadiumâ boats sounds like hip hop, dance and influences from as far afield as Japan and India. “As you grow, you experience different things. You start travelling, you start collaborating with different people and you start experiencing life bigger,â Akon told MTV. “I was the type of artist that created my music based from my experience. And nothing has changed. I’m always in Europe, always in Asia, always in India, always in Japan, always in Africa, the U.K., France, and this is the kind of music that I’m exposed to.” Akon has also teamed with hit French producer David Guetta for his next European single, ‘Angel.’ The pair has already produced several tracks together and Akon praised the “energy” they create when they join forces. “I just do it to the best of my abilities, because I love how the energy flows, because I see it and how it makes people feel, how it turns the party out, how it blows the concerts out of the water and you’re just like, ‘This is it!’ ” Akon says. âStadiumâ is led by the first single âAngel,â which you can listen to right here on Singersroom.
