R&B crooner Avant will release his sixth studio album âThe Letterâ on December 7, 2010 via Verve Forecast. The album, previously titled âWake Upâ, is led by the first single âKiss Goodbye.â On the âThe letter,â Avant delivers to his core audience what they have grown to love with his music and even giving them more. âA letter is what you write to people to tell them whatâs going on in your life,â says Avant. âThis album is a letter from me to my fans of whatâs going on in my life, whatâs going through my head and my struggles as a man.â Avantâs debut album âMy Thoughtsâ went platinum and featured the top 5 Billboard R&B Hip Hop single âSeparated.â Avant followed up the success of My Thoughts with the release of his sophomore album Ecstasy in 2002, which went platinum as well. His string of platinum success continued with 2003âs Private Room and the release of The Director in 2006; which featured âLie About Usâ with Nicole Scherzinger and âYou Know What,â featuring Lil Wayne.
