Leona Lewis and Joss Stone have signed on for this week’s MTV Europe Music Awards, taking place in Berlin Thursday. Lewis, signing on to perform a selection from the sophomore effort “Echo,” joins a full line up that includes Green Day, Jay Z, Tokio Hotel, Shakira and U2. Fresh off the release of “Colour Me Free,” Joss Stone is also taking part in the celebration of music as host of the EMA digital show “2009 EMA : Red Carpet Show’. The 2009 MTV Europe Music Awards, hosted by Katy Perry, air Thursday, November 5 from the O2, Berlin at 9pm CET. Presenters include pop/rock phenomena Jonas Brothers alongside Asia Argento, Backstreet Boys, Bar Refaeli, Batista, Boris Becker, Brody Jenner, Jean Reno, Juliette Lewis and Miranda Cosgrove. Leading 2009 EMA nominees include Lady GaGa and Kings of Leon, with 5 nominations apiece. They are closely followed by Beyonce who has been nominated in 4 categories.
