Deborah Cox Looks To Raise Bar With Price, Tamia Super Group

Deborah Cox is looking forward to unveiling something never seen before — the formation of a supergroup with fellow R&B songbirds Kelly Price and Tamia. Breaking news of the group’s formation via BV Buzz, Cox says “It’s really the most exciting project I’ve been a part of. We’re going to be raising the bar just a tad.” “It’s great to work with likeminded individuals. We have the same sentiments as singers, mothers and wives!” According to Cox, Price and Tamia, the group has been dubbed TDK — Tamia, Deborah and Kelly. While a label home has not been revealed for the group’s forthcoming debut, a compilation album titled “The Queen Project,” the trio says a single titled “Queen” will lead the effort. “Truly I am excited because what we’re doing has never been done before with three women on CD,” Price told BV Buzz. “Each of us in our own right is a true vocalist and while I am loving what we’re doing in the studio, I just can’t wait for people to see our live show!” TDK is reportedly recording songs in Los Angeles with noted producers Warryn Campbell (Mary Mary) and Shep Crawford (Heather Headley). “It is fun and we have a really good time together. There’s something special here musically and we have a genuine bond,” says Tamia.
