R&B balladeers Joe and Maxwell dominate this week’s Billboard 200 albums chart with their recently released efforts “Signature” and “Blacksummers’night”. Joe, making his debut on the chart Wednesday, moved 49,000 copies of his second album to be released within a year. Landing at no.7, “Signature” comes in just behind fall 2008s “Joe Thomas, New Man, ” which debuted with 54,000 copies sold. Accompanying Joe on the chart, Maxwell’s “Blacksummers’night” holds down the no.2 spot on the Billboard 200 after debuting at no.1 last week. Featuring the singles “Bad Habits” and “Pretty Wings,” Maxwell’s “Blacksummers’night” moved 103,000 copies coming short of Daughtry’s “Leave This Town,” which claims the top spot with 269,000 copies sold. In related chart news, Hip Hop recording artist Twista debuted in the top 10 with 45,000 copies of his new album”Category F5″ arriving at no.8.
