The two R&B veterans will appear in the network series âGone Countryâ and itâs spin off âOutsiderâs Inn.â Brown, who starred in the first season of the networkâs hit show âGone Country,â which also featured R&B singer Sisqo will try his hand at running a bed and breakfast in rural Tennessee with the help of Maureen McCormick and Carnie Wilson. Noted as âNewhartâ meeting âThe Simple Life,â the show titled âOutsiderâs Innâ is slated to premiere on August 15th at 9:00pm ET featuring Bobby Brown as an Entertainment Director at the Inn. Jermaine Jackson known for his part in the legendary group The Jackson 5 will join American Idol alum Mikalah Gordon and former NâSync member Chris Kilpatrick on CMT in August as well. The Jackson 5 member will vie for his chance at country success on âGone Country: Season 2.âAlso featuring Sebastian Bach (Skid Row), Irene Cara (âFameâ) and Sean Young (âAce Ventura: Pet Detectiveâ) the show indoctrinates each of the seven celebrities in the ins and outs of the country music business for a chance to break into the country music genre. Each celebrity will again be paired with two of Nashville’s finest songwriters with whom they write a country single. In addition to meeting with songwriters, the cast will compete in challenges that test them musically and physically to adapt to a life in country music, both on and off the stage. At the end of the two weeks, the artist that is most prepared to impress a country audience, as determined by Rich, will record and release their single to country radio. âOutsiderâs Innâ and âGone Country: Season 2″ premiere on CMT Friday, August 15th.
