Houston, Spears Calls On Hit Man Ne-Yo For Comeback Albums

By now the whole world knows the artist known as Ne-Yo. The singer/songwriter who has penned huge hits like Beyonce’s “Irreplaceable” and Rihanna’s “Unfaithful,” will try to keep the heat on when he steps into the studio with two more female superstars. According to reports, Ne-Yo is in the studio writing songs for both Britney Spears and Whitney Houston. In a recent interview, Ne-Yo tells MTV that his writing skills come from doing his own dirt and hearing horror stories from female loved ones. He says, “Any slight insight I might have into the mind of a woman, I owe it all to my mom. Growing up with her, dad checked out kinda early, so it was me, my mom, my sister, my grandmother and like three or four of my aunties all in the same house till I was about 16. Any experience they went through, I was right there with them. Be it breakups, meeting a new dude, I was right here listening to phone conversations.” He goes on to say, “I will not say that I know anything about women, nobody really does, but I may have a little more insight than the average guy.” Ne-Yo explains that he likes to sit down and pick the brains of the artists he is writing for. Even though that is not always available, it’s one of his key steps in writing a hit song. He tells MTV that he wants to sit down with Whitney to see where she’s at first before he begins writing. On the other hand, even though he has not met with Britney Spears as yet, the singer said he has already started putting songs together for the pop stars comeback album. Ne-Yo’s new album is due April 24. He recently released the first single, “Because of You.”
