Chris Brown is not the only suffering Rihanna is dealing with. The âUmbrellaâ star is really focused on giving back and helping others affected with Leukemia. Last week, Rihanna visited 6-year-old Jasmina Anema, who has a rare form of leukemia, at NYU Medical Center, while visiting NYC. Jasminaâs reaction: “She’s really here!” Doctors are currently trying to find Jasmina a bone marrow match and the chemo sheâs been going through often makes her extremely tired. But her spirits went flying high when Rihanna walked in! Rihanna and Jasmina first connected after Jasminaâs mom put up a video on People.com asking for bone marrow donors to try and find a match. When Rihanna saw it, she said that she had to meet her and try and help. Rihanna tells People, “It breaks my heart to see her go through this difficult sickness. Jasmina still hasn’t found a match and she is just one of 6,000 people suffering from leukemia or other blood cancers who search the registry every day for a life-saving match. We can take action and sign up to be bone marrow donors. We can save the life of Jasmina and others like her.” This is not the first time Rihanna stepped up to the plate. Early last year she helped a leukemia-stricken mother of two find a bone marrow donor. “This blessing has continued to keep me aware of how precious life really is,” says Rihanna.
