Earlier this year, Mississippi artist Maurice Smith released a snippet called “Can’t Fight The Feeling” from his EP Delta Soul, now the entire project has arrived.
Not only is Smith giving listeners a taste of Delta soul (as an homage to his Mississippi roots), he’s also showing that he’s quite the old soul; what you have here are some authentic sounds of yore. The four-track EP gives you the feel of being stuck in 1960’s with influences of Motown.
