Anyone looking for a new makeup regimen to follow can find comfort in the trends of this fall. Whether you enjoy a more natural look, or like to vamp it up every now and again, there is something for everyone in this seasons color palettes.
Earth tones are becoming increasingly popular. This fall, earth tones are taking the form of greens, browns, grays, and natural shades of warm reds (burgundy) and purples (plum purples). These colors have a softening effect and are best used around the eyes and particularly as eyeshadow.
To accompany the earthy tones, shades of gold can be used to accentuate facial features by applying it lightly to cheeks, lips, or as eyeshadow. The color can easily be paired with purples and reds to add drama to your overall makeup look. Remember, one shade of gold does not work for everyone. You should always take into consideration your complexion when choosing which shade of gold goes best with your skin tone. If you are looking to add this touch of royalty to other places beyond your face, gold can be the perfect color for nail polish, especially this season.
Many women tend to steer away from blush. But this fall, blush has made its return, but with subtlety. More natural and light tones of blush should be used to highlight cheeks with faint splashes of color; this is best when you are wearing minimal amounts of makeup.
For those who do not use larges amounts of makeup, natural looks are also a trend this fall. Accomplish this look by first applying a shimmery powder to your skin and following up with light, neutral shades of eyeshadow, blush, and lip gloss or lipstick. Anyone who isn’t fond of the bright red lipstick that has caught on as of late, can try pale pinks, peaches, and even browns for lipstick colors.
For the fall, look to warm up your makeup color palette while at the same time keeping the application time and process down to a bare minimum. —— By: Bethany N.
