Biography Of Iyaz
Iyaz, born Keidran Jones in 1988 on the Caribbean island of Tortola, is a British Virgin Islander singer and songwriter. He grew up surrounded by music, his father being a professional musician and his mother singing gospel at church. At age 16, Iyaz signed with Beluga Heights Records after fellow label artist Sean Kingston heard him sing. His debut single “Replay” was released in 2009 and quickly became an international hit –and he hasn’t looked back since.
In 2010, Iyaz released his first album Replay which featured collaborations with artists such as Travie McCoy, Flo Rida and Sean Kingston. The title track itself achieved worldwide success; it reached number two on the UK Singles Chart and sold over 3 million copies in the United States alone. Following this huge achievement came further singles including “Solo”, “Pretty Girls”, and “So Big” all from the same album.
The following year saw more successes for Iyaz when he was invited to be part of pop group Sugar Rush with Kaci Brown, Jessica Jarrell and Victoria Baldwin.
