Adele will not be taking an extended hiatus after all. In an interview with French radio network NRJ this week, the "Rolling In The Deep" singer confirmed the fact that fans can expect new music by year's end.

"New song probably coming out at the end of the year," Adele told NRJ. "If I didn't write songs, I'd be out next week with a new album. But because I write my own songs, I have to take time and live a little bit."

While she hopes to have a new song out by the end of the year, Adele has no plans on releasing a full album until 2013 or possibly 2014.

"There was a good two years between my first and second albums so it'll be the same this time," she added.
