HOUSTON, TX – On January 27th, Houston singer and songwriter, Courtney Shilo released her new EP ‘Do Not Disturb’ , tackling the rollercoaster journey of love. Previously collaborating with well-respected R&B creatives like Tiffany Evans, this project is an ode to moving on. Each track will reflect Shilo’s own healing and growth that can relate to every listener.
“It’s been seven years since my last musical project and a lot has changed since then,” said Shilo. “In the middle of a battle of the sexes in culture, R&B has lost the important message of being accountable and fighting for love. I wanted to bring back songs that bring a positive light to relationships and show that we all desire to be intimately seen and valued.”
Each track highlights musical influences from the 90’s and 2000’s. Shilo has added a modern twist on the classic R&B style with creative harmonies and background vocals. The songs maneuver listeners through the various stages of a breakup including denial, bargaining, acceptance, and forgiveness.
Shilo released her hit single “Do Not Disturb” in late 2022 and she is excited that fans picked “Make Up” as the next single from the project.
“Everyone can relate to at least one song from this project. From learning how to embrace singleness to making up with your partner, there’s something for everyone. I am excited to see what resonates with people the most,” exclaimed Shilo.
Do Not Disturb was released on all platforms on Friday, January 27.

Courtney Shilo is an R&B singer, songwriter, and artist from Beaumont, Texas. From a young age she has captivated audiences with her distinct talent for music. She amassed thousands of followers on Youtube singing covers of popular R&B songs, and she began her recording career with the release of her debut EP, “A Single Life” in 2016. She has had several singles from her project featured on Houston’s number one radio station, 97.9 The Box. Shilo has performed on numerous stages including Showtime at the Apollo, and was a featured artist at the Tampa Music Conference.
