After holding the project up for some time and with no previously-released singles, G.O.O.D. Music artist Teyana Taylor releases her sophomore album, K.T.S.E. (Keep That Same Energy).
The Kanye West-executive produced album was announced by West via Twitter in April, and the project also marks the fifth G.O.O.D. Music album released in the past month. It runs eight-tracks deep with features from West (“Hurry”), Ty Dolla $ign (“3Way”) and Mykki Blanco (“WTP”).
Taylor’s raspy voice soars on “Never Would Have Made It,” which includes an interpolation of the Marvin Sapp hit. Her voice warms up the majority of the mellow and acoustic-based album, aside from the final track “WTP” (Work This Pu**y) which is rooted in the up-tempo sounds of house music.
Taylor will head out on tour this summer in support of K.T.S.E with Jeremih. See the dates HERE. Keep That Same Energy is the follow-up to Taylor’s debut album, VII, which dropped in October 2015.
