Janelle Monáe drops off another artistic music video, this one for her latest release ‘I Like That.’
In the clip, Monae takes advantage of technology to multiply herself in various places including being in a bathtub around flamingos as she conveys her message of self-love.
“I’m crazy, and I’m sexy, and I’m cool,” she sings while paying homage to legendary R&B group TLC. “Little rough around the edges but I keep it smooth / I’m always left of center and that’s right where I belong / I’m the random minor note you hear in major songs and I like that.”
“I Like That” follows the previously released singles “Make Me Feel” and “Django Jane,” and the sexually-liberating video for “Pynk.”
Janelle’s upcoming third album and “emotion picture,” Dirty Computer, is due out April 27th.
Monae will support the album with the 27-city ‘Dirty Computer’ North American, which kicks off on June 11 in Seattle. The trek will make stops in cities like Vancouver, Portland, Los Angeles, Denver, Minneapolis, Boston, Charlotte, Miami, and New York before wrapping Aug. 4 in Atlanta.
Tickets for the upcoming trek go on sale May 2. Every U.S. ticket purchased includes a standard digital copy of Dirty Computer.
