Grammy-nominated singer-songwriter Brittany B. (Barber) is on a mission to spread love and light within this new season. Releasing the airy visual for her latest single, “Luckiest Girl,” Brittany wants women to know that they are capable of obtaining that exact feeling. The single is the softer side to last year’s bold release, “Wind Down.”
“I wrote ‘Luckiest Girl’ from channeling a date night I had,” Brittany told Singersroom. “The date was perfect and I remember thinking that every woman deserves to experience this at least once in their life.”
In the clip, Brittany readies herself for what happens to be the most glorious day of her life. Meeting her soulmate, played by Atlantic Records recording artist Jevon Doe, at a makeshift alter under a tree, she commits herself to love. Wearing a flower crown along with a flowy white dress, Brittany steps up as the perfect bride.
“It could take a thousand years / To find love like what we share / Hope we stay like this forever / Never parting, stay together / Everyday and every night / I wanna lay right by your side / And when I wake, I’m waking next to you I’m saying / I am the luckiest girl in the world,” she sings.
From penning hits for Ledisi, John Legend, Chrisette Michelle, Ne-Yo, and Kelly Rowland to singing background for Faith Evans and Carl Thomas, Brittany is the definition of determination and following your dreams. Not only is she a creative and masterful with the pen, she also has an eye for talent. In her role as A&R at Warner Music Group, the songstress has helped develop the careers of various newcomers including viral sensation Bhad Bhabie.
Brittany B. is gearing up for the May release of her forthcoming EP, Urban Nostalgia.
