Video: Lizzo’s Been Working On Her ‘Fitness’

lizzo-fitness-video

Body positive artist Lizzo is spilling the details of her rigorous fitness routine. In the new dominatrix-esque video, Lizzo is sultry and empowering.

“‘Fitness’ is my Declaration of Independence from the bullshit,” describes Lizzo. “It’s a celebration of movement, highlighting the power in all body types. The women in this video are my team and closest collaborators including the brilliant director Quinn Wilson. I hope to inspire women all over to put themselves first. And next time someone has a critique about you or your body, say ‘I don’t do this for you!'”

In the Quinn Wilson directed clip, Lizzo is infectious while dancing around an abandoned building with her clique.

Lizzo is about to hit the road alongside HAIM on their Spring 2018 “Sister, Sister, Sister” tour – with dates beginning next week. Lizzo is also slated to perform at this year’s Firefly Music Festival.

The release of “Fitness” follows Lizzo’s previous singles, “Truth Hurts” and “Water Me – the latter of which has been featured in several commercial syncs for top brands such as AT&T, Acura, and Apple. Additional notable syncs include, “Worship Me” featured in a Cadillac commercial, and “Good As Hell” for Lane Bryant and HealthPartners.
