Kehlani is in a collaborative spirit. Just a few days after the release of the Charlie Puth-assisted single “Done For Me” dropped, the Bay Area songstress returns with rapper Kyle for their newest collab, “Playinwitme.”
This is the second time the two have teamed up. Kyle first tapped Kehlani back in 2015 for his playful single, “Just A Picture.”
“And we back.. me and @kehlani just dropped another banger,” Kyle announced.
While Kyle wants to know why she keeps playin’ with him, Lani is too busy being the super independent woman she truly is.
Kehlani pays homage to the 90’s mega-star girl group Spice Girls, “Damn, why are you playin’ with me?/You don’t even like girls, ha/So I need you to tell me, baby/What you want just like the Spice Girls,” she raps.
Kyle premiered the track on Zane Lowe’s Beats 1.
The track is said to be featured on Kyle’s forthcoming album, which hosts features by Khalid, 2 Chainz, and Sophia Black.
