On what is arguably the best music video of 2018, Grammy award-winning superstar Chris Brown joins Lil Dicky on his new single and video titled ‘Freaky Friday.’ It’s not just great because it features surprise cameos from Ed Sheeran, DJ Khaled and, randomly, Kendell Jenner, but because the core message is to love yourself!
The innovative video parodies the originally-titled film, and depicts Dicky and Brown switching bodies, and their subsequent hilarious interactions parallel to the original trading places plot.
Lil Dicky erupted literally overnight when his debut video garnered a million views in just 24 hours. Since then, the prolific entertainer has racked up hundreds of millions of views, a No.1 album, and an overwhelming fan base. That fan base expands to his peers, including Snoop Dogg, Fetty Wap, and Rich Homie Quan, all of whom appeared on his acclaimed debut album, Professional Rapper.
He has since gone on to win the People’s Choice Webby Award for Best Online Film and Video: Music Video, and was chosen as one of XXL’s Freshman Class 2016, following in the footsteps of prior “class members” such as Kendrick Lamar, Drake, Wiz Khalifa, and many others.
