Another famous couple is calling it quits!
R&B superstar Usher and wife/manager Grace Miguel are ending their two-year marriage and ten-year personal relationship. The former couple issued a joint statement to the press to announce their separation.
“After much thought and consideration we have mutually decided to separate as a couple,” they told Us Weekly. “We remain deeply connected, loving friends who will continue supporting each other through the next phases of our lives. The enormous amount of love and respect that we have for each other will only increase as we move forward.”
Usher and Miguel married in September 2015, and according to reports, they had been separated for months prior to the admission. Neither party has filed for divorce but based on the recent turmoil that has hit their relationship, that could be the next phase.
The second half of 2017 was very controversial for Usher, who faced several allegations and lawsuits over the alleged transmittal of herpes. During the entire saga, Miguel remained silent, but we can only assume that this influenced their separation.
The former couple began dating in 2009 after Usher split from his first wife, Tameka Foster, with whom he shares 10-year-old son Usher Raymond V and 9-year-old son Naviyd Ely.
