London singer-songwriter Cherri V release the brand new single, “Things You Do,” the third offering from her long-awaited and highly-anticipated forthcoming debut album, Brown Eyed Soul, due out early 2018.
On the record, which follows previous releases, “Without You” and “Leave Me Be,” Cherri shows off her polished vocals and lush delivery as she coos about her intimate needs.
“Baby, come closer / I don’t want to be sober,” she sings. “Each time you touch my lips, I feel like tripping over.”
Cherri says the Joey Sticks-produced song is a “fun-loving track about love, attraction and the highs that come with that.”
Speaking about the inspiration behind her new single, Cherri V says, “‘Things You Do’ was written on a summers day, and it captures the relationship between being drunk and being in love… I always call myself a lightweight when it comes to alcohol so it only takes a tipple to get me going, and in relation to being in love, it’s the smallest things that excite me – good company and good vibrations.”
With three critically acclaimed EPs, a UK top 20 single with Lethal Bizzle, successful collaborations with Wiley, Jessie J and Dawn Richard, and millions of views and streams already under her belt, Cherri V is definitely on a path of greatness.
