Grammy-Award winning R&B/Soul singer Fantasia releases her first-ever holiday album, Christmas After Midnight, via Rock Soul Entertainment and Concord Records. ‘Christmas After Midnight’ features 12 songs and was produced by Ron Fair (Christina Aguilera, The Black-Eyed Peas). The set boasts some of Fantasia’s favorite holiday songs including “This Christmas,” “Silent Night,” “Santa Claus Go Straight to the Ghetto,” “Have Yourself A Merry Little Christmas” and “Baby, It’s Cold Outside,” featuring Cee-Lo Green.

“This album pays homage to my grandmother and is a gift from me to all of those who remember their grandparents or parents putting up Christmas trees and being a blessing into people’s lives,” states Fantasia. “I’d also like to pay homage to the great singers like Billie Holiday, Ella Fitzgerald, Frank Sinatra and Ray Charles who stood strong in what they believed in – the music. I hope that it blesses you guys. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year.”

Fantasia will support the project with a companion tour starting November 19 at Music Hall in Dallas, TX.

After much anticipation and a lengthy delay, Singer/actress Demetria McKinney delivers her debut album, ‘Officially Yours.’ The project is produced by Grammy Award-winning artist and producer Kandi Burruss, and is preceded by the singles “Is This Love” and the top 5 Urban AC hit “Easy.”

“As a recording artist, this is where the most truthful, transparent side of me will be seen and heard,” Demetria says about the personal album. “People mostly know me for the roles I have played, and they are all roles that I chose specifically for the lessons that I would learn from each character. Personally, I never wanted to show vulnerability because I thought it was a sign of weakness. I didn’t want to talk about situations I’ve endured and I would shut off opportunities that would make me connect with any past pain. I always hid behind my characters and allowed them to overshadow Demetria. But the reason I call this LP Officially Yours is because the music represents the ‘official’ Demetria McKinney.”

In related news, Demetria is set to portray the late music legend Whitney Houston in TV One’s forthcoming biopic, Bobbi Kristina, about Bobbi Kristina Brown – the only child of Houston and singer Bobby Brown.

Headed by the singles “I Don’t Know” and “Promise,” R&B veteran Vivian Green returns with her album, VGVI.

“I hope people can feel the emotion. When they hear it, I want them to be able to live with it,” she says about the project. “It’s a little different for me. You can work out to it, cook to it, clean to it, and do all of those things we do. I want this to be one of those records that becomes a part of your life.”

NBA Star Victor Oladipo official makes his introduction to the music world with the release of his 7-song debut EP, Songs For You, which features the 2 Chainz-assisted “Rope A Dope,” the Donny Hathaway re-interpretation “Song For You,” and the Eric Bellinger-assisted gen, “Unfollow.”

“What inspired me to put out my own music now is that I believe it is a gift of mine and when God blesses you with a gift you should share it with others,” Oladipo stated. “If not then you’re doing yourself and Him a disservice.”

Alternative R&B artist Kelela finally released her debut album, Take Me Apart, which follows the previously released mixtape, Cut 4 Me, and the Hallucinogen EP. The project features the eclectic singer’s dreamy vocals and striking vulnerability surrounding romantic relationships, break-ups, hook-ups, and more. A sublimely seductive album from start to finish, on ‘Take Me Apart,’ Kelela is as naked as the artwork depicts her.

Singer-songwriter Sabrina Claudio unveils About Time, the first collection of songs to follow her celebrated debut EP Confidently Lost. The new project features twelve original songs written by Sabrina. She will celebrate the set with her first major North American live tour as main support to acclaimed artist 6LACK. The “FREE 6LACK TOUR” kicks off October 7th in San Diego, CA and runs through November 29th in Tampa, FL. Visit sabrinaclaudio.com for details and ticket availability.
