Rihanna is urging people to do their part to help after the recent and continued devastation in the Carribean, Mexico, Texas, and Florida.
Over the last few weeks, these areas have been hit with disastrous hurricanes and earthquakes (Mexico), killing many and leaving millions of families displaced from their homes.
“The Carribean, Mexico, Texas and Florida have taken some awful hits in the last few weeks! We must all do what we can to help,” Rihanna writes on Twitter. “There is much suffering yet to come-lost buildings, lost jobs, lost hope!!! Sending my love and prayers to everyone affected!!”
Currently, Hurricane Maria is ravaging through the Caribbean, recently leveling Puerto Rico, knocking out 100% percent of the island’s electrical grid while leaving a massive rebuilding process.
In addition, rescuers are racing against the clock to reach survivors trapped under the rubble of a school in Mexico City which collapsed during Tuesday’s 7.1 magnitude earthquake. At least 21 children and five adults died as the school collapsed. The school was one of dozens of buildings toppled by the quake. So far 230 people are known to have died.
The horrific disasters have been heart-wrenching to see, but Rihanna, who has been on a promo tour for her new Fenty Beauty line, has been doing her part to help others.
