R&B artist Chris Brown has settled a battery lawsuit with a woman who accused him of punching her at a private Las Vegas party.
Brazilian model Liziane Gutierrez sued the Grammy winner in February 2016, claiming he attacked her in his hotel room after she took a photo of him. She said he then took her phone.
Brown was never formally charged by police for the New Year’s Day incident, but he was at the center of their investigation.
“Obviously, somebody is looking to get a check or start some shit,” he said at the time. “I don’t know this old lookin’ bitch. This bitch is old, like dusty, look at her in the Jason Derulo video. Like she came to Vegas, she probably came to my room and was too ugly to get in.”
Reps for the star alleged she made the incident up because she was upset about being ejected from the party at The Palms resort, but Gutierrez pressed on with her legal battle, suing Brown for battery, theft, and defamation.
Sources tell TMZ Brown settled with the model on Tuesday.
Details of the deal have not been disclosed.
