In March 2016, Faith Evans revealed on the Dame Dash Radio Show that she was working on a new album called The King & I featuring vocals of the late Notorious B.I.G. and a hologram of the slain rapper in a forthcoming video. Now we can hear some tunes from the project!
Two songs from the project have surfaced on the net; one titled “NYC” and another called “When We Party.”
On “NYC,” a rare Biggie verse from his unreleased song “Mumbling and Whispering” is added to a quintessential east coast track along with an appearance from Jadakiss and Evans is on the hook.
“When We Party” is only a snippet, but it’s enough to see the direction; the song has a west coast feel with Snoop on the track and Big’s verse from “Going Back to Cali.” Once again, Faith is on hook duties; it will get you on the dance floor!
