It sounds like the Philadelphia 76ers organization have decided to make it up to Sevyn Streeter.
In late October, the 76ers organization told Streeter she couldn’t sing the national anthem just minutes before she was set to do so because she was wearing a “We Matter” jersey.
Days later, the organization released a public apology. Now most recently, over the weekend, Streeter and the Sixers have announced that she will have the chance to perform the national anthem again at the Dec. 16 home game against the Los Angeles Lakers. And yes, even wearing the “We Matter” jersey.
She posted the following statement on her Instagram:
Good to hear this matter was straightened out!
