Queen Bey did not come here to play with you, h**s. She came to slay, b*tch.
Last night (Aug. 28), Beyonce showed who’s boss by performing a medley of five songs from her Lemonade album. Her set took place mid-show, but probably should have been scheduled towards the end, because the caliber of her performance left little else to want.
Introduced by Serena Williams, Bey opened her performance with the album-opener “Pray You Catch Me,” then made sure to introduce her little friend Hot Sauce for “Hold Up” and smashed the MTV camera to the ground, just like in the visual album.
She trekked across the entire stage on “Sorry” and danced in a ring of fire during “Don’t Hurt Yourself,” and the heat continued with “Formation.”

Bey also took home the awards for Best Breakthrough Long Form Video for Lemonade and Female Video Of The Year for “Formation.” She arrived at the ceremony with her four-year-old daughter Blue and the mothers of Trayvon Martin, Oscar Grant, Eric Garner, and Mike Brown.
