Platinum-selling singer Avant’s new artist Malone has dropped his new buzz record titled “She Was There.”
Written by his mentor Avant and produced by Travis Sayles, the song is about an intimate adventure with a woman who isn’t getting the love she needs from her man at home.
“It’s about a guy who meets a girl and the two run off to get better acquainted — if you know what I mean,” said Malone.
Malone has also released the song’s accompanying visual via his Facebook page. The video was filmed in Gary, IN and features a cameo from “The Voice” season 9 contestant, Mark JP Hood.
The self-proclaimed “Edgy Soul” sensation has done songwriting for dance diva Cece Peniston and has been everywhere, from Hollywood on Season 5 of American Idol to around the world, including the Cognac Blues Festival in France backing Syleena Johnson, who also discovered him. Malone is featured on Syleena Johnson’s album Chapter V: Underrated and Avant’s The VIII.
Malone released his Outside The Box EP in 2012 to give his fans a taste of his vocal artistry and pop appeal. Malone is currently working on his new EP Just a Matter of Time.
