Following news that Jhene Aiko filed for divorce from producer Dot da Genius and her suspected romance with Big Sean, Aiko releases a rough copy of a love song called “New Balance.”
When listening to the lyrics, it’s hard not to imagine they were inspired by her burgeoning romance.
“It hit me like a tidal wave / Knew that I was in love with you right away /Turn all my days into brighter days /Even when people say what we do is not OK,” she sings.
As reported by Rap-Up, it was Big Sean was the one who wanted her to release the song via Tumbr, plus she retweeted a fan’s comment with heart emojis that the song was written for Sean.
…Yup, it’s about him!
Jhene and the rapper released their joint EP, Twenty88, this year, and have since been getting very close, even kissing on stage.
