For a few weeks now, it was speculated that Adele was tapped to headline the 2017 Super Bowl halftime show, but she recently reveals she turned down the gig. And what was her reason? Because she’s “no dancer.”
During her concert in Los Angeles on Saturday night, Adele addressed the rumors she would be taking stage center field.
“First of all, I’m not doing the Super Bowl,” she said. “I mean, come on, that show is not about music. And I don’t really — I can’t dance or anything like that. They were very kind, they did ask me, but I said no.”
“I know I’m not Beyoncé, I can’t dance or anything like that,” Adele added.
As talented as Adele is, I’d have to agree. The Super Bowl is known to have high energy performers and dancers, and Adele’s ballads would to the crowd to sleep.
