As the general distrust of police officers by black and brown communities continues to rise, as well as the number of cell phones videos that capture the often-fatal interactions, it seems celebrities are next demographic to film their police encounters.
Hip-Hop and R&B duo Ashanti and Ja Rule recently came in contact with the boys in blue. Last night (Aug 9), the singer film the interaction briefly on Snapshat. It’s unclear what happened, but Ashanti can be heard angrily asking why they have to step out of the car.
The clip then switches to Ashanti who’s all smiles on her way to the gym (assumed to be this morning), and she reassured followers that all is well.
Glad nothing bad came from the encounter!
