Soulful crooner Anthony David returned this past May with his haunting single “Beautiful Problem,” now he’s back with the equally-beautiful video for the single from his The Powerful Now (due out on August 26th).
David explains, “‘Beautiful Problem’ represents life and the trials you can go through that ultimately make you better and stronger. It’s really open to interpretation for people to relate to in several ways.”
The black-and-white clip features Anthony as he sings to the camera between clips of dancers interpreting the song through motion. India.Arie briefly cameos.
In an interview with Singersroom last month, David explained what “ThePowerFUL Now” means and why he titled his new album that. “I would do songs in moments, and there was a little time where I found myself in conversation talking about the past or what I wanted in the future. As we started working on it I was like, “Fuck it; we did all that, so let’s make Now”. “Let’s make this thing, great, Now.”
